Society Awards
About the JRVS Award (Mori Award)
The MORI Award is conferred to promote academic progress in the field of retinal and vitreous diseases.
The award is named in honor of Dr. Shinnosuke Mori, who achieved pioneering accomplishments in retinal detachment surgery in Japan.
One recipient shall be selected annually by the MORI Award Selection Committee from among candidates recommended by the Board Members, Auditors, Councillors, or Honorary Members of the Society.
The awardee delivers a lecture at the Annual General Meeting.

TANO Young Investigator’s Award
The Society confers the TANO Young Investigator’s Award (TANO YIA) to promote academic progress in the field of retinal and vitreous diseases.
Eligible candidates are members of the Japan Retina and Vitreous Society who are 40 years of age or younger at the time of application.
